Judy from Beli would be awesome.

think some of the NYC local food influencers would be interesting (Mike Chau, Jeremy Jacobowitz, sister snacking)

chef wise Bobby Flay is pretty interesting. Cosme Aguilar. Ed Szymanski and Patricia Howard from Dame/Lords/Crevette. Anyone from LVD/frenchette/wild cherry.

If non-NY, tons of great youtube chefs like Kenji Lopez Alt, Josh Weismann, Ethan Chlebowski, Babish, etc.

Sunny Lee from Sunn’s! Or David Yun of Kisa. (Jennifer Shorr of Joyface could be kinda fun)

The last time I was in NYC it was very hot, in the high 90s with high humidity. I was wearing shorts, a polo shirt and black leather sandals…big toe thong, India type sandals, but extremely comfortable, but not footwear for NYC in August! I spent a lot of time in the subways…out of the concrete heat until I reached my location, before walking up to the masses of humans…Too hot for NYC…the heat, the stench, the rats!! Just too hot in mid summer, garbage on the street, in front of beautiful buildings, but a stench so bad your eyes are tearing and unable to see the buildings because your eyes are watering from the stench!

Some incredible, unfiltered call outs in here (i.e. Carbone). Loved that he also pans the idea of trying to replicate his places as they inevitably lack soul. 100% the case for Minetta Tavern in DC. Most people here love it and think it's a slice of NYC but anyone who has been to the original will easily recognize the lack of character in the replica.
