How to plan for the foot of snow we're getting this weekend.
It's hot weatherman day at Feed Me.
Good morning everyone. I interviewed Madeline Cash about her new novel, Lost Lambs, for Interview. You can read our conversation here.
The Feed Me party in San Francisco sold out in under an hour yesterday. I’m sorry to anyone who didn’t get a ticket, and if you did get a ticket and don’t plan on coming, please update your RSVP. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to do events, because I like hanging out with all of you but the current format (some version of happy hour) is limiting. Open to your ideas in the comments…
There is a snowstorm blowing into New York (and much of the country) this weekend. Head to the Feed Me chat to ask famously handsome meteorologist John Homenuk all of your questions about the supposed 16 inches of snow we’re getting this weekend. My favorite question so far is from a reader whose parents met at a ski shop on the Upper East Side — “As a weather professional, do you think the weather plays a bigger role in how we meet and interact with each other than we may realize?”
Today’s letter includes: 2026 might be the year we see newsletters advertised on the subway, Lily Allen and David Harbour sold their Carroll Gardens brownstone, a tip about the oldest restaurant in Los Angeles getting a new owner, and a poll about a new newsletter that aggregates newsletters.

ICE detained a five-year-old Minnesota boy arriving home from school. Monsters.
A reader tipped me off that Cole’s, the oldest restaurant in Los Angeles/inventor of the French Dip, will get a second life. Apparently Jeremy Fall (the man behind buzzy Hamptons smoothie shop Drugstore) bought the restaurant, resuscitating the business after it announced plans to shutter. I’m curious if he’ll take it in more of a Salt Hank’s fancy-casual direction or a Four Charles upscale direction.
