Aman developing a less-expensive hotel line. The first location of Janu is in Tokyo, but the group is opening in Turks and Caicos, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea in the next few months. The site reads, “Combining Aman’s 35-year unrivalled heritage with Founder and CEO, Vlad Doronin’s, extensive expertise in global real estate development, Janu will bring to life a trinity of inspiration, connection, and exploration.” I texted a friend who invests in the hospitality space this morning, and he reminded me that Marriott has over 30 brands — Doronin is ready to make some real money and a bigger business.
Best Day Brewing, a Sausalito-based producer of non-alcoholic beers, has secured $10mm in equity funding from undisclosed investors. Best Day Brewing launched in 2021 and is eager to expand beyond the SF Bay Area. The company previously raised around $2.8M in 2022. I had my first N/A beer last month and I didn’t really get it… the popularity of them seriously surprises me.
