There is something, I don't know, inherently masterful and why I love this newsletter so damn much. You are building a loud and proud COMPANY. You've told us what you are doing, we support you, and in return, we all want to party with you. Not one stupid mention of the word community.

On the flip side, canned answers about building community through Khloe Kardashian popcorn makes me want to barf.

I quit smoking a decade ago but light me up, girl.

Like are there actually consumers obsessing over snack & soda brands so much that they consider themselves "community?" And if so are they mentally well? Or by "community" do they mean an ecosystem of people who are paid to shill for the brand? As a founder I'm truly interested and probably at a major disadvantage not understanding this

This has baffled me too; I assume the majority are either serving life sentences, aren't human or are simply being paid per comment by marketing & PR firms.

RIP to the Sanzo "community", now that Sanzo is disgusting.

“The brand launched nationally at Target and Sprouts earlier this year with industry-leading velocities…”

Lord grant me the confidence to talk this way about any brand I am being paid to talk about, Amen.

I'm not sure I care about Khloe's new popcorn company. Doesn't seem like 'breaking news,' but maybe it's a slow news week? Going Rogue podcast with Jill Demling is fun if it's a slow week.

SF person here - I have almost never heard of anyone belonging to any social club in SF other than occasional people who belong to the Olympic Club mostly for the golf. If I hear of people going to any of them, it's because Equinox is doing an event there or some kind of un-cool VC uses it for business lunches. IMO SF has such limited going out culture and it is extremely difficult to get anyone to come to events, especially downtown. Maybe the AI boom will change that, but it hasn't yet.

So bummed to have missed the party. You're a great hostess. Can't wait for more of these soirees you throw. Here's to more people talking, making eye contact, having a laugh, a drink, a burger and a cig! And f*ck the phones.
