🍦 Pistachios are having a big, big moment. And so I begin with a story. The Ben and Jerry’s in Montauk was a staple of my childhood. For years, I would go with my dad every few nights when we stayed at a motel out there for the summer growing up. He really liked their pistachio ice cream because they didn’t use green dye at the time. Since then, Ben and Jerry’s scoop shops rarely carry pistachio and that location closed. RIP. ANYWAY, “right now it’s all about the flavor of pistachio, which is earning a ton of buzz as it’s being stirred into cocktails, scenting candles, frozen into Disney’s iconic Dole Whips, and generally working its way into the hearts of all who love its inviting, indulgent nuttiness.” Starbucks has a popular line-up of pistachio drinks, first launched in 2019. I think the packaging for that big brand of pistachio milk is so pretty but I need a pretty high amount of fat in my milk for my coffee so it doesn’t quite do it for me.
