Good morning everyone.
NEWS:
Absolutely amazing day to be a Hims & Hers shareholder. I know I have some big ones reading this right now :) Shares of Hims & Hers Health surged 27% after the pharmaceutical startup said it will offer GLP-1 injections. Hims & Hers CEO Andrew Dudum told CNBC that the company is “confident” that customers will be able to access a consistent supply of the compounded medications. I visited Hers online yesterday to see if I could access weight-loss drugs out of curiosity, and it’s ridiculously easy to lie on there because it ended with me having the option to order them directly to my house. Just a thought.
I want to see the other side of Kim’s Tortilla because it’s hinting at some serious char. She posted an unusual photo of a Beyond Meat taco, saying that she “just loves” the taste of Beyond Meat. One has to wonder how much she got wired after posting that weird flash photo…
And while we’re on the topic of Kardashians, Kylie posted a surprising Reel yesterday. I’m not used to seeing Kylie posting vlog-style content. It’s all the appeal of a YouTube video (day in the life, smart jump-cut editing, journey to get In-N-Out) but contained within the Instagram app. I wonder if the Instagram team encouraged her to shoot this, or if she has a new social media manager. I’ve never been to In-N-Out, guys.
The boys are going to omakase instead of the steakhouse. Because they don’t want CARBS and just want PURE PROTEIN because they’re BORING. I also think “Bromakase” is a weird viral term for something that has been going on forever (rich guys in suits getting sushi together…). Like the classic story of my college boyfriend’s friend who went to sushi as an intern with his boss and added the wasabi to the soy sauce, and his boss got up and left because he said it was disrespectful. (This has been debunked many times, but it’s the lore that matters). I don’t like eating sushi in non-coastal areas because of perceived ocean to plate time, so I probably wouldn’t have bromakase in Austin or worse, Vegas. That being said, I’m free most days next week for lunch.
