Good morning everyone. Over the past few months, I’ve really enjoyed watching the comment section of Feed Me come to life. I’ve started to recognize names and the personalities and opinions that might go along with them. Because my comment section is paywalled, the community is somewhat tighter and more deliberate than if all of you were all in there. The openness and thoughtful takes have created such a bright spot on the internet, and to borrow a phrase that someone I got lunch with yesterday used, “there’s a lot of energy flowing through” the Feed Me comment section.
The range of events I’ve hosted include an off-the-record poker game in the Hollywood Hills, a dive bar party in Montauk that was mostly attended guys in big watches who were reading Feed Me for the Hamptons coverage, and most recently a block party in Fort Greene where at least two people left with investors’ phone numbers. What they did after that is between them and god.
Next week, I’d love if you could come hang with each other in-person. I don’t know about you, but I could use a drink. Fellow New York magazine viral story writer Ezra Marcus will be making the playlist. Hopefully I will be hosting more events this year, maybe even outside of New York if I can get it together.
