My laptop broke so we’re monitor mode today.

Good morning everyone. I’ve decided I’m going to do another Q+A soon. Please email me (emilyesundberg@gmail.com) with any questions you’d like my take on or that you have about my work. I’ll try to publish this on Friday.

NEWS:

  • JUST in time for the holidays, J. Crew launched a collection with Ukrainian womenswear brand Anna October. I saw Olympia tease this on her Instagram Story last night so I’ve been looking for more information since. As of the time this letter was written, the Vogue link for this collab was broken (maybe it was published too early), but the collection is live on the site after doing some URL testing hehe. The collection is mistletoe-bait: sexy, slinky, silky, lingerie-inspired. How does it fit? That I can’t help you with.

  • US students suck at math. A global exam out today shows U.S. 15-year-olds' math scores lagging way behind their peers in the world's industrialized countries. They will NOT be getting Ken Griffin’s coveted $20k/month internship. One study released earlier this year found that elementary and middle schoolers in the U.S. need months of extra schooling to close pandemic-induced gaps. Data released earlier this year as part of the Nation's Report Card found that U.S. history scores among middle schoolers also plummeted last year to their lowest level ever recorded since the assessment began in 1994.
