Sorry the letter is late today. I have two other jobs and every once in a blue moon they take over my morning and I don’t have time to bang this thing out before 8am.

News:

  • This was a fun way for GQ to tease their new cover.

  • I’m not sure what Sensoria is going to be. But I like the way they think! A few days ago, about 50 people I follow posted mirror selfies and tagged the brand. They weren’t wearing anything from the brand, or showing any packaging, but they tagged the brand. I thought it was a smart marketing strategy. Today, the brand posted a bunch of stories of people saying the brand name. It also worked on me. Here’s what the brand says: “Sensoria is an exhilarating exercise in pure inventory management. We provide access to highly curated capsule collections at generous points from brands and retailers. Each collection will be available to shop for a limited time only.” So I’m guessing they’re selling extra stock from cool brands? Or a cool way of doing vintage? We’ll see.

  • I adore this flip book that Joana Avillez made for High Sport. Just because a brand is luxury, or trying to categorize themselves that way, doesn’t mean they can’t have fun.

  • 💄 What came first — the Priscilla movie trailer edit or the Priscilla makeup collection? There’s a clip in the Sofia Coppola movie trailer where Elvis (the gorgeous Jacob Elordi) says “more makeup”. Today, A24’s makeup brand Half Magic announced a makeup set: Recreate Priscilla Presley's iconic 60s winged eye look from Sofia Coppola's Priscilla with the new Priscilla x Half Magic set. Includes Eyelectric Ultra-black Mascara, Magic Flik Black Liquid Eyeliner and the Wing Magician Reusable Wing Guide. Regardless the answer, great marketing strategy for both the film and the cosmetics.

  • Coca-Cola is partnering with Pernod Ricard to launch an Absolut Vodka x Sprite RTD cocktail. Thank god.
