And somehow my invitation was lost.

Hello everyone. I think I’m going to go out east the weekend of 8/23 to work on my final Hamptons Feed Me newsletter of the summer. This will probably involve a Feed Me event. I hope some of you can make it.

Today’s letter includes news about Victoria’s Secret, a trip to Dallas that I must make, and some bloody fist fights taking place in Montauk.

The last time I went to a Victoria’s Secret was a few months ago on Long Island.

The Walt Whitman Mall location of Victoria’s Secret is big – and I was the only person inside besides a bunch of floor salespeople. Granted, this was during the day in the middle of summer but it’s still worth noting. What was impressive about the store to me was how well merchandised the fragrances were. When I looked on the site, it shows that Love Spell, a fragrance that transports me to my middle school locker room immediately, is trending. Curious who is buying this.

I want to know if this is real or manufactured “trending”

Yesterday, it was announced that Savage x Fenty’s chief executive officer Hillary Super (excellent name for a CEO) is leaving Rihanna’s lingerie brand to join Victoria’s Secret as their CEO. Hillary Super is a mall store vet – she spent four years at Anthropologie as their CEO, five years at American Eagle and five at Gap. She was only at Savage x Fenty for one year. She’s joining Victoria’s Secret at a slight increase in earnings. According to Bloomberg, shares of Victoria’s Secret jumped more than 15% when the market opened in New York yesterday, “the most on an intraday basis since November. The stock had been down 28% this year as of Tuesday’s close, compared to a 2% rise in the S&P Small Cap 600 Index.”

I can’t really imagine being an underwear brand competing with SKIMS right now, but we’ll see what Hillary Super has in store.

What else is happening at Victoria’s Secret this year?
