Good morning everyone. I woke up sick yesterday (no days off) and halfway through the afternoon, my best friend sent me pho from Hanco’s. One of the nicest things you can do for a friend.

Today’s letter includes: a Montauk bar that is not only for sale, but dropped in price by $1mm yesterday; the conversation with the founder of Apollo Bagels about whether TikTok virality is good for restaurants; the $35 burger at San Vicente Bungalows that I’d really love to try; that New Yorker party at Jean’s; and Gwyneth on MAHA and raw milk.

I know there are a few thousand college students who read Feed Me. I came upon some exciting internships that I’d be applying to if I was in college and didn’t have a summer game plan lined up yet. If you still don’t have a summer internship, you might want to consider saying a prayer after hitting APPLY.

Montauk Historical Society: Great for kids laying around their Hamptons house all day scrolling on TikTok and driving their parents crazy. “We are looking for high-school and college students with an interest in local history to help with our projects.” Please send an email to director@montaukhistoricalsociety.org

Hogsalt (4 Charles, Au Cheval, Monkey Bar): Hogsalt’s summer marketing internship is for students pursuing a career in Marketing or a related field. It’s based in Chicago (but I bet you could make a case for at least one trip to New York).

Gabriel Held Vintage: Must be located in New York, enrolled in school and allowed to do this for credit, have previous experience with clothes, tech savvy.” Email gabrielheldvintage@gmail.com with resume and cover letter

Pepsi: In this R&D packaging position you will contribute to channels specific project initiatives, such as package development and testing, results evaluation, conducting plant trials, developing pallet patterns, and coordinating with manufacturing plants and suppliers. Ideally, you’re currently pursuing a degree in: Packaging. “The expected compensation hourly pay ranges for hires into our 2025 campus intern openings is $21.50 - $54.00/hour.” Sick.

This morning, Apollo Bagels opened their fourth location in New York’s Financial District. The New York bagel chain is known for a lot of things —a perfect menu (they serve plain, sesame, or everything), long lines, the same founding team as Leo Sourdough, and normal prices.

Last night, I texted founder Joey Scalabrino ahead of the downtown opening to get a sense of how he was feeling about the expansion to the new hood.

Do you anticipate a different customer at this Apollo location? If so, how are you preparing for that?

I won’t lie, I hadn’t thought much about that until today. This neighborhood is so interesting, and despite growing up in Manhattan, I haven’t spent much time here. Hopefully, we’ll see a strong early-morning Wall Street and commuter crowd right at 7 AM, plus a mix of locals and some fun tourists. We’re preparing for that rhythm by making sure we can move fast in the mornings while keeping the experience warm and welcoming throughout the day.

What’s your favorite Wall Street movie?

I suppose Wall Street. Classic.

Do you think we, as a city, were too hard on Cynthia Nixon for her bagel order?
