Good morning.

  • I just discovered this Twitter that reports on celebrity-founded brands. It’s a fun follow, and brutal reminder of how many celebrities are trying to make a name for themself outside of being famous. The news this week is that Jennifer Garner’s Once Upon A Farm announces new Butternut Squash Veggie Blend and Kylie Cosmetics is launching a Wizard of Oz collection. Cool!

  • Beauty brands are using blockchain technology to be more transparent about ingredients. “Consumers are evolving. They want transparency about your brand, your supply chain, your integrity and your ideals,” Swan Sit, a Web3 adviser and creator, told WWD. Back in 2018, Sweetgreen made a splash when they announced they were investing in blockchain to track and trace the origins of the produce that it buys. As consumers raise their expectations for the quality of what they consume, it makes sense that the beauty industry would follow suit.
