Good morning.
Hybrid work is changing the way that that offices are being built. Leading architects and real-estate developers are pioneering concepts aimed at workers who are splitting their time between home and office, and they predict these innovations will become mainstream in the years to come. This means increasing access to the outdoors, “touchdown” spots where visiting employees can log in and work (I’m guessing this means like booths and couches as opposed to desks), and lockers for hybrid employees, to help avoid lugging equipment back and forth. Judging by this story, some developers are trying to make offices more homey and relaxed, less corporate and stuffy. Mixed feelings about this, can discuss later.
Finally, an excellent explainer on de-influencing. Deinfluencing, the latest viral TikTok trend, involves users sharing what products they didn’t like and suggesting alternatives. You might be asking “Why is this new?” and I understand why you would ask that. But for a long time, we only saw influencers talking about what they DO like, what you SHOULD buy, how everything they use is SO GREAT. So deterring viewers from certain products is a little more edgy, and new. It might seem like a dig the influencer marketing industry, but in deinfluencing actually reinforces what creators need to do to resonate with their follower bases: Be honest.
