  • Alison Roman’s podcast is finally here. Roman and her Home Movies producer David Cho answer caller questions about just about everything — posting photos on Instagram, cast iron skillets, Costco blueberry muffins….cute. I’m curious how these will perform compared to her recipe videos. I like the call-in number and the video aspect to it, and I’m sure her inevitable holiday hotline and Valentine’s Day episodes will be funny. It’s kind of giving kitchen “Car Talk”.

  • Is Taco Bell launching a Baja Blast energy drink?

  • Zuck follows The Cut. And wears Buck Mason. Abbott Kinney ass brand.

  • Hilton released their 2024 Trends Report. Some of the standout things consumers are looking for include:

    • The #1 reason people want to travel in 2024 is to rest and recharge, which means we’ll likely see more customizable sleep options for travelers (turndown service, pillow menus, sleep masks in hotel rooms). Hilton and other hotels are also innovating N/A (I think mocktail is a gross word, and I am pro-virgin) cocktail menus.

    • Dining drives travelers to specific cities, so hotels are investing more heavily into their on-site restaurants that reflect local cuisine.

    • Gen-Z is obsessed with snacks (duh) and 82% of them want grab and go snacks on-site at hotels (vs. 69% of baby boomers).

    • Gone are carpets (too hard to clean), single-use toiletries (too wasteful) and closets. "80% of our guests actually live out of the suitcase," Chief Brand Officer Matthew Schuyler said.

  • Reformation is the only brand having a blast with emails. I beg more brands to chill out and let loose, people get a million of these a day, give your customers something to laugh about.
