Good morning. Today’s letter includes:

♠️ A proposal for a Feed Me poker club

🍷 An interview with the founders of Rocco Fridge, a mini fridge startup from Casper and AWAY alums

🌺 Another edition of Emily’s Fragrance Corner

Let’s go:

  • Conde Nast lays off 5% of staff. That’s about 270 people, and they’re also reducing office space. “While we can’t control platform algorithms or how A.I. may change search traffic,” CEO Roger Lynch wrote, “we believe our long-term success will be determined by growing the many areas that we can control, including subscriptions and e-commerce, where we directly own the relationship with our audience.” Union employees had been requesting a meeting with CEO Roger Lynch for weeks, which he refused, only to find out that had given interviews to the Times. Come on, Rog.

  • Trend report for hot girl fashion brands 🚨: Reels of girls simply walking across the street. (Chrissy’s wins, she has an itinerary).

  • Commentary-on-venture-capital thriller anyone? 🍿 I first heard about this movie about a year ago when I had a meeting with one of the A24 producers. And if the right person got three drinks in me over the past year, I’d probably start talking about it. Death of a Unicorne starring Paul Rudd (Ant-Man franchise) and Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) has been at the center of the online rumor mill for months. Here’s the gist: “Riley and Elliot hit a unicorn with their car and bring it to the wilderness retreat of a mega-wealthy pharmaceutical CEO. Naturally, the mythical beast has restorative properties, raising the question of what to do with the body.” I am excited about this.
