Hello everyone. When the cat’s away, the mice will play… It’s

Cami Fateh
here. Emily is trying out OOO for the first time in over a year, so
Anna
and myself are taking charge of the newsletter while Emily inevitably still texts us news updates for all of you readers.

Today’s letter includes: We finally have eyes on the Nike x Skims collab, Americans are snorting a lot of cocaine, luxury fashion houses are bringing back QVC-style shopping, and the New York hotel renovation that went $1B over budget.

The story Emily’s been working on for GQ for months is out today. It covers Gen Z’s crisis of masculinity. To make it happen she spoke to 21 American college-aged men about dating, partying, A.I., MAGA, and what people get wrong about their generation. It’s a thoughtful look at how young men are growing up in the internet age and experiencing what Emily identifies as “very little room in their life for low-stakes mischief.”

Emily told me that they actually got all 21 young men to the GQ office to shoot their photographs in person - imagine the logistics of wrangling 21 college students to 1WTC - which resulted in beautiful, exacting portraits shot by Bowen Fernie, with an exciting social package to go along with it shot by Sasha Mutchnik.
