Three fashion vets posted their resignations in the last month.

• Everyone is quitting their magazine job to go freelance. Last week, Emilia Petrarca (5.5 years at The Cut), Liana Satenstein (9 years at Vogue) and Lauren Sherman (7 years at WWD) all posted long on Instagram that they’re leaving their jobs as fashion writers to go freelance. All seem to be open to freelance and “consulting” work. I’ve been talking to friends about the dichotomy between feeling like your life is ending (being laid off from your steady job) and feeling like your life is beginning (choosing to leave your steady job). The next few years are going to be reallllll freaky for 401k’s.
