This was fascinating. As someone historically anti-reptile (I appreciate their place in nature and the ecosystem, I just don’t ever want to be anywhere near one lol) I probably need to watch this doc. I’ve always said that people who own reptiles should have their own sex offender-esque database so I don’t accidentally end up at a dinner party with a big ass snake in the living room.

I love turtles so much. I wanted one for a bit. And then I went to Eric’s conservancy in Ojai this year and I fell deeper in love with these animals. Snakes I get. Lizards I def get. But the doc is really well done, I recommend.

I hope that Los tacos can scale without losing their way. It would be a blessing for America, but more than America (we've got good tacos), los tacos as Mexican shake shack would be a blessing for the world. Los tacos in London, Los tacos in Paris, Los tacos in Tokyo would change the game

1. I hate to admit it, but yes, the US Open is definitely more valuable. And it always will be, especially given that the Honey Deuce will generate over $20MM in revenue...

2. You're definitely going to see more mid-market PE/growth shops getting involved in well-known brands these days (re: TSG & Los Tacos). TSG is one of the OGs in this space, and with valuations down and an actual return to structured, foundational companies, you'll see them coming even earlier in rounds. (This is a good thing!)

A lot of VC backed tacos. I’m curious what the next category will be.

Indeed, with General Atlantic backing Torchy’s…

Definitely across wellness, beauty, and the right food brands. Healthy nostalgia too. Stay tuned.
