Hello everyone.

Today’s letter includes: Feed Me’s expansion into audio and video, Anna Sui bets on her own items on eBay, J.P. Morgan Private Bank is now offering household staffing and physical security, and I find it refreshing when newsletters acknowledge how much work it is to publish at a high frequency on Substack.

We’re making our first podcast.

Maybe next year we’ll make a movie, or open a bar.

There’s a white space in food media that Feed Me plans on filling: a good podcast about food. Something focused on the fast-paced news cycle of New York’s hospitality world – the gossip, secret doors, and personalities that make this the best food city in the world. We hope to build a hub where every lover of food can converge and converse.

Feed Me has successfully identified an emerging voice in restaurant criticism, J Lee. As a contributor to Feed Me, his takes on food and culture have turned him into an instant star with readers on Substack and beyond. We believe audio is the perfect venue to delve even deeper into the nuances of the culinary world. To capture this, Feed Me is launching an audio and video podcast series with

J Lee
under the same name as his column, “Expense Account.” We’re building it on Substack, and you’ll be able to listen to it on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube once we launch this fall.

Feed Me’s access to exclusive stories and top talent will be combined with J Lee’s experience and insider perspective to create a unique setup for reporting on New York’s micro-scenes through the lens of food. J Lee will have a fun roster of guests – bartenders, bankers, ballers – who stop by from different industries and backgrounds and share his passion for restaurants. Ryan Woodhall’s Public Sound – which has worked with brands like Supreme, Spotify, and the NFL – will be our production partner.

Thanks to Substack for supporting production on Expense Account. And thank you to all of the Feed Me readers, soon to be watchers and listeners, for continuing to engage with us every day.
