Kim Kardashian hires a former Apple and Burberry exec. Angela Ahrendts is going to be the senior operating adviser at SKKY Partners — operating partner is interesting, they usually don’t invest but help the portfolio companies. Aside from working as an adviser to SKKY, Ahrendts sits on the boards of Ralph Lauren, Airbnb and advertising holding company WPP. Since its launch, SKKY has also hired talent from private-equity firms such as Permira, Blackstone and L Catterton. It is in the midst of raising its first fund. I wonder if we’ll hear much about SKYY or if they’ll just quietly invest.
