Hello everyone. These letters have been going out a little later this week because I’m out here grinding.

Some housekeeping:

  1. Masochistic, perhaps, but I like this heat. It makes the city look and feel different. I loved seeing how all the groups of friends and couples in the East Village reacted to Zohran’s win in real time. My friend who was eating dinner at Crevette said a table of finance guys sitting near him was having a less than joyous reaction. I’d actually like to speak to anyone that was on a first date last night in New York — it seemed like an intense evening to spend a few hours with a stranger.

  2. If any of you are going to be in Venice during the Bezos-Sanchez wedding and want to anonymously report from the weekend, I have a job for you.

  3. If any of you have really interesting jobs you’re hiring for that you want to be included in the relaunch of the Feed Me Job Board next week, shoot me an email.

  4. Peter Kafka had me on his podcast, Channels, to discuss Feed Me.

  5. And Breaker asked asked 100 anonymous media investors, bankers, and dealmakers about the media brands they are watching for M&A. The top results were Feed Me, Punchbowl, Unwell, and Puck.

Today’s newsletter includes: All of New York’s luxury wellness and beauty providers are moving to the same address, an anonymous Feed Me reader in the 1% has a criticism on the New York Magazine Hamptons issue, Amazon is advertising with Substack writers, and I love when Instagram bakers open real bakeries.

📱 Next time you’re getting drinks with friends and trying to get to the bottom of a business or culture story, text the anonymous Feed Me Hotline : ‪(646) 494-3916‬ 📱

  • It’s been really fun to watch Morgan Knight from Saint Street Cakes transform her business from an Instagram bakery to a real Brooklyn bakery.

  • One of my readers (who is in the 1%) emailed me this feedback about New York Magazine’s Hamptons issue: “This article in The Cut was ridiculous. Most people in the Hamptons that I know feel fortunate to be there and I've never seen anyone shop at a farm stand holding a designer handbag. At Round Swamp, for example, a handbag would significantly cut down on your ability to maneuver all the tight aisle turns while holding your basket of food.”
