Alex Cooper launched a magazine.
It's on Substack.
Good afternoon, everyone.
Before we begin… I think it would be very wise for someone to invite me to Sun Valley. The invite list is a little light on women. I have new media insights and a great spirit that I think would make for a great addition to the trip. We could do a waterfall tour and re-enact the “we’re listening / we hear you” scene from Succession. I make up fun drinking games. Anyway.
Rickie De Sole was the belle of the pre-Knicks ball in New York City last night. Air Mail threw a party at Temple Bar to celebrate her new weekly newsletter, Dress Code. I had exactly two pigs in a blanket (which upon further review were wagyu beef — living!) and got one Dress Code box of matches. Those came in handy for my single sumptuous Marlboro 100 that I smoked between a quick dinner at the Blue Ribbon Sushi bar and my F train home to Brooklyn in time to see the Knicks win.
Today’s newsletter includes: Movies to go see this weekend (thank you, Teddy Kim), a new model for a menswear consignment store (in Brooklyn), and Alex Cooper’s Unwell expands (to Substack).
Posting and browsing the Feed Me Job Board is free. This week, there are listings from The Cutting Room Floor, L.A. Material, and Alice Mushrooms.
Spend Friday night with Harmony Korine and air conditioning.
Stay Tuned is a Feed Me guest column about film and entertainment, written by Teddy Kim.
When I wrote my summer movie guide last month, every other comment was about John Early’s Maddie’s Secret. Almost every early screening is sold out ahead of its release next weekend, but there are a couple Q&A screenings with tickets still available at IFC.
