Good afternoon, everyone.

This morning, I thought: This would be a great day to meet friends at B Bar after work. Rest in peace to the East Village’s best bar of all time, and also the location of two of my New Year’s Eve parties in college where the buyout was zero dollars. I’m sorry if this photo gives anyone else Vietnam-style flashbacks.

Today’s newsletter includes: Adderall Novels vs. Benzo Novels, Janice Min on The Ankler Team’s move off of Substack, an NYU student texted the Feed Me Tip Line about a new spritz hot spot for summer 2026, and another new Williamsburg spa opening this spring.

  • The black GWYN top that Taylor Swift wore in her New York Times interview video yesterday is almost sold out on Goop.

  • Spencer’s Spa is opening a new location in Williamsburg.

  • Charli XCX wants to know what questions fans have for her about songwriting and the creative process. She introduced this prompt on a handwritten pad dated New York, May 2026. I wonder if she’s inspired by the recent Q+A’s she’s been doing around ERUPCJA, and is planning more live talks in New York. Pre-Brat Summer, Charli’s relationship with her audience had always been immensely intimate. She created her 2020 album, how i’m feeling now (an album that means a lot to me), during COVID with input from her fans via Zoom.
