This morning, I learned that Kaia Gerber is offering love advice to readers of On The Rag, the “libertine and bohemian” tabloid and forum for literary gossip. I’ve recently been thinking about how magazine advice content could use an overhaul.
“Miss Manners” debuted her nationally-syndicated column in 1978, focusing on etiquette and cultural commentary. “Miss Manners” a.k.a. Judith Martin is now in her ‘80s, and she still writes her column along with her two adult children. Heather Havrilesky of “Ask Polly” left New York Magazine in 2021 and is now on Substack, naturally, along with Please Advise, the advice newsletter written by Aleen Dreksler, founder and CEO of Betches.
